Our Two Part Course

Our Adventure Dog Skills course comes in two parts!

Both Course A and Course B coach you on different skills that will benefit your dog on all of your adventures together. You can join us for just one course or for both, and no, they dont need to be taken in any particular order!

Check out the Course A and Course B details below to see which one your dog would benefit from most.

Course A: Balance & Stability

Focusing on core strength, balance, and real-world skills, Course A gives your dog body awareness while keeping daily walks fun and engaging.

Throughout Course A, we cover:

  • Paws on: Target games to build core stability and front-end balance.
  • Around: Sending your dog around a stationary object on cue (so handy when they’ve tangled their lead around a tree!).
  • Pivot: Teaching your dog to use their hind legs, which they often forget exist!
  • Sensory walkways: Building confidence over novel surfaces, wooden planks, and weird textures.
  • Platform runways: Steady, balanced footwork across platforms.
  • Low obstacle clearance: Stepping cleanly over fallen branches and logs with control.

Course B: Motion & Flow

Focusing on stride control, ducking, and directional awareness, Course B gives your dog real-world movement hacks that make navigating outdoor adventures so much easier!

Throughout Course B, we cover:

  • Ground & raised rails: Fun pole-stepping games that teach your dog stride rhythm and foot placement.
  • Under: Helping your dog confidently duck under low branches, benches, and stiles with ease.
  • Reversing: Teaching your dog to target with their back feet and back up cleanly through a narrow channel (perfect for tight spots!).
  • Weaves: Weaving fluidly around obstacles to help with tight turns and flexibility.
  • Tight gaps: Building confidence when traversing narrow spaces and channels on trail walks.

Who Are These Classes For?

These courses are ideal for:

• Dogs of any age and ability — all exercises will be adapted for individual dogs.
• Those who love to go on walks and could use a little more confidence.
• People wishing to take their dogs on adventures where they might encounter novel surfaces, objects, and experiences.
• Humans who love to get their dog's brain working!

This is a targeted programme built around body awareness, novelty, confidence building, and real-life skills, all using kind, reward-based methods to protect your relationship and develop skills that last a lifetime.
